1.3 References to the “Red Dot Project” or “Red Dot Campaign” include GAAAI’s research, mapping, evidence collection, publications, submissions, public-interest advocacy and campaign activities concerning Australian aerodromes, regional and remote aviation, Part 135 operations, CAR 30 maintenance organisations, aviation access, airport administration, aviation infrastructure, airport market power and the displacement or loss of aviation businesses and services.
2.1 By accessing or using this Website, downloading or relying upon its content, becoming involved in a GAAAI campaign, or providing information or material to GAAAI, you acknowledge and accept this Disclaimer.

3.3 Publication of a concern, allegation, submission, question or contested matter does not necessarily represent a final finding by GAAAI that unlawful or improper conduct has occurred.

4.1 The Red Dot Project and Red Dot Campaign seek to document and explain the importance of Australia’s aviation network, including aerodromes and communities that depend upon smaller aircraft, regional operators, maintenance organisations, engineers, pilots and other specialised aviation services.
4.2 Red Dot Project maps, datasets, calculations, illustrations and classifications may combine information from public records, industry sources, aviation participants, geographic datasets and technical analysis.
4.3 Runway availability, aircraft capability, weight limits, operational suitability and access conditions may change. The inclusion of an aerodrome, aircraft type or location does not constitute operational, engineering, regulatory or flight-planning advice.
4.4 Pilots, operators and other aviation participants must independently obtain current authorised information and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, operational manuals, aeronautical publications, notices and safety requirements.
5.1 GAAAI supports and advocates for an independent Commonwealth Royal Commission into the conduct, administration, regulation and oversight of Australian airports and related matters identified through the Red Dot Project and Campaign.
5.2 GAAAI, its members and members of the public are entitled to engage in lawful advocacy, communicate concerns to elected representatives and public authorities, make submissions, and petition the Parliament concerning matters within Commonwealth responsibility.
5.3 References on this Website to a proposed Royal Commission represent a request for independent investigation and fact-finding. They do not assert that a Royal Commission has been established, that any person has been found liable, or that every concern raised will ultimately be substantiated.
5.4 GAAAI may provide material to Ministers, parliamentarians, government departments, regulators, integrity bodies, law-enforcement agencies, courts, tribunals, inquiries, commissions or other competent authorities where GAAAI considers that disclosure is lawful, appropriate and relevant.
6.1 The Website may contain information, criticism, allegations, commentary or documentary material concerning airport operators, airport-lessee companies, airport owners, shareholders, directors, officers, employees, advisers, contractors, government bodies and other persons associated with Australian airports.
6.2 Such material may concern matters including airport access, rental and pricing practices, market power, consultation, movement or landing data, aviation land use, master planning, tenant displacement, eviction, infrastructure, public funding, regulatory oversight, conflicts of interest, safety consequences and the loss of aviation capability.
6.3 GAAAI may rely upon information supplied by members, tenants, operators, engineers, pilots, employees, former employees, contractors, witnesses, public records and other sources. Some matters may be contested or incapable of immediate independent verification.
6.4 Where material identifies a disputed allegation or contention, it should be understood as an allegation or contention unless and until determined by a competent court, tribunal, regulator, inquiry or other authorised body.
6.5 Airport operators and other persons directly affected by published material may contact GAAAI with a concise, evidence-supported correction or response. GAAAI may review, correct, clarify, update or remove material where it considers that action appropriate. GAAAI is not obliged to publish abusive, irrelevant, unsupported, threatening or unlawful communications.
7.1 Any person providing information, documents, photographs, recordings, data, correspondence, statements or other material to GAAAI (“Contributor”) represents that, to the best of their knowledge:
(a) the material is genuine and has not been deliberately falsified or materially altered;
(b) the information supplied is honestly believed to be true or is clearly identified as opinion, allegation, recollection or information received from another source;
(c) the Contributor has lawful authority to possess and provide the material;
(d) providing the material does not knowingly breach a court order, statutory prohibition, legal professional privilege, enforceable confidentiality obligation or another person’s intellectual-property rights; and
(e) the Contributor has not deliberately omitted information necessary to prevent the material from being materially misleading.
7.2 Contributors must not provide unlawfully obtained material, knowingly false allegations, threats, malicious material, personal information having no legitimate relevance, or material prohibited from publication.
7.3 GAAAI may verify, summarise, redact, reproduce, store, analyse, combine, publish or provide contributed material to relevant authorities for its organisational and advocacy purposes, subject to applicable law and any confidentiality arrangement expressly accepted by GAAAI in writing.
7.4 GAAAI cannot guarantee that information submitted electronically will remain absolutely secure or confidential. Contributors should notify GAAAI before sending highly sensitive, legally privileged, confidential or protected material.
8.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, each Contributor and user indemnifies and holds harmless GAAAI and its committee members, officeholders, employees, volunteers, representatives and authorised agents from claims, demands, proceedings, liabilities, losses, damages, penalties, costs and reasonable legal expenses arising from or connected with:
(a) material supplied, uploaded, communicated or authorised for use by that Contributor or user;
(b) a material breach of the representations or obligations contained in this Disclaimer;
(c) an allegation by an airport operator, airport-lessee company, airport owner, landlord, government authority, contractor or other third party arising from false, unlawful, infringing or unauthorised material supplied by that Contributor or user;
(d) infringement of copyright, confidentiality, privacy, contractual or other third-party rights by material supplied by that Contributor or user; or
(e) misuse of the Website or GAAAI material by that Contributor or user.
8.2 This indemnity is intended to protect GAAAI against airport-related and other third-party claims caused or materially contributed to by a Contributor’s or user’s breach, unlawful conduct, false information or unauthorised material.
8.3 The indemnity does not apply to the extent that a liability was directly caused by GAAAI’s own fraud, wilful misconduct, unlawful act or liability that cannot legally be excluded or transferred.
8.4 Nothing on this Website creates an obligation requiring an airport operator or another third party to indemnify GAAAI unless that party has separately agreed to do so in a legally binding agreement.
